DRS provides a temporary boost to your car's max speed and overtaking performance.

With a DRS stat component equipped, after the first lap of the race you can then activate DRS. It's key to remember that while this can be activated anywhere on the track, DRS will be at its most effective on long straights. After its use, there will be a short cooldown before DRS can be activated again. To make the most out of the performance gained from DRS, make sure to use your DRS strategically!

DRS can be activated:
- Regardless of proximity to other cars
- Anywhere on track (straights are recommended for full effect)
- In all weather conditions
- While any engine mode is in use
- With any tyre compound equipped

DRS cannot be activated:
- During qualifying
- For the first lap of the race
- When in P1
- When in the pit lane
- Under safety car conditions
- If tyres are worn and reach 0% life
- If a car experiences a breakdown
