There was a period where Top Drives notifications were not working as intended on Android 13 due to a fundamental conflict with the OS. However, this has now been fixed.
For new players, opening Top Drives for the first time on Android 13 will prompt a pop-up at the OS level asking you to grant permission for the app to fire notifications. If you agree to this prompt, then notifications should work as intended, and you can toggle them on and off using the button in the Options menu (accessed via the cog in the top left of the home screen).
If you did not agree to this prompt, or if that prompt has never appeared for you, then enabling notifications in-game via the Options menu will not work if notifications for Top Drives specifically are disabled at the OS level. In order to enable Top Drives notifications at the OS level, please follow these steps:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Apps
- Find and select Top Drives
- Select Permissions
- Select 'Notifications' under 'Not allowed' and toggle it to 'Allowed'
