Each vehicle has 3 customisable components:

Each item costs workshop currency to unlock which can be won in Highway to Wealth.

Each item offers a multiplier bonus - which is applied to your score in the Arena.

In addition, if you manage to complete a customisation set eg. green paint, green mascot, green rims - then you unlock a permanent multiplier regardless of whether that set is active on your vehicle.
